When the time came, we didn’t have to think twice. The idea came from a member of the team, and we contacted acquaintances on the medical team at Granollers Hospital to offer our full support.
We transported equipment to Barcelona, and immediately began 3D printing masks, face shields, and parts to adapt the well-known Decathlon diving masks to the hospital’s ventilators, so that less severely ill patients could share the same ventilator, thereby doubling the resources available.
Afterwards, several private companies contacted us to request collaboration, assistance, and even to provide them with face shields, as the Department of Health required them for the performance of their work and they had disappeared from the market. We were delighted to do so, completely free of charge.
With these images, we want to share our excitement at having been able to provide support when it was really needed, but above all, we want to thank the doctors and healthcare workers we collaborated with for their example and dedication, and for ‘infecting’ us with their enthusiasm and exemplary professionalism.
